LANSING, Mich. – Clean Fuels Michigan released the following statement ahead of U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s visit to Michigan today. Granholm will tour manufacturing facilities throughout southeast Michigan and promote the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package.
“We welcome Secretary Granholm back to Michigan as Michigan’s congressional delegation and the Biden administration pushes for infrastructure funding that will accelerate transportation electrification and manufacturing,” said Jane McCurry, Executive Director of Clean Fuels Michigan. “These federal dollars are crucial for Michigan’s economy and will create good-paying, clean energy jobs in our state. Michigan has the manufacturing know-how and success of the auto industry to see immediate benefit from the type of infrastructure funding being discussed at the federal level.”
